It really depends on the writers

There have been some amazing writers in some fandoms I've been in that made me give certain tropes or kinks a try that I never would have looked for or clicked on. A solid writer can make anything worth reading. But generally I have overarching tropes I like, and then characterizations and fandom specific tropes. The idea of just looking for the same exact thing in every different fandom is pretty funny to me.
