Don't tell her it's freaking you out. Tell her that fics where you break up real life couples (especially with the death of one) should be posted archived-locked or in other places where the people in question would have to seriously go looking for it. Sure, they might not bother, but you also don't want to have your fic read out on a late night show to the person in question.

A lot of communities consider real life kids out of line, too, so the reaction is really going to depend on a lot of norms in that fandom...which you don't know because this would be the first fic.
