One of mine is, Succession, and it's great because you can actually find stuff again on Reddit.

Depending on the fandom/moderation, Reddit can be a cool place. And at least, if not too active, you can find and keep up with stuff.

But no, yeah, reddit fans aren't as cool as lj or tumblr type fans. They don't seem to know much about fanfic, the same fan art gets cycled around, and when it's based around one sub it's like a firehose of repetition with very little space for those fun fandom eddies.

TBH I don’t understand the Reddit aversion that pops up in FS. My fandoms are all active on Reddit and I love it! We can have separate posts with threaded comments like in the old LJ days (and yes, DW days but none of my fandoms ever found traction here). Tumblr, twitter, and TikTok just don’t work for me as fandom spaces because everything is just so scattered. I love having a one stop spot where several things can be happening at once without drowning out the other things.

Some of the people in the subreddit for one of my fandoms tend to bash one of the female characters so I dropped it.

But there are plenty of other fandom subs that are great, so it will depend on your fandom. definitely worth checking them out!

Reddit gets a bad rep because there ARE some bad subreddits and users. But I've been on Reddit for over 10 years and my experience there has been overwhelmingly positive.

I just think most Youtuber merch is really fucking ugly so I've never wanted to buy it. There might be some out there who can design a nice looking shirt or something, but for the most part it's just their channel name/logo slapped on a shirt and it looks hideous or really awkward out of context.

I don’t follow any YouTubers but my husband is a major fan of two channels. I subscribed to both to help their numbers and just today was encouraging my husband to buy merch from one LOL But it’s not like Mr Beast bars or an ugly t shirt, it’s Townsend’s which was a shop before it was a YouTube channel. He loves James Townsend so I think it would be cool if he got something from their store. We don’t have any use for reenactment stuff but I think they sell like spices and stuff, too.

Honestly... Good point. The last time I was a fan of a Youtuber he shot himself in the foot and turned out to be a weirdo, which made me glad I didn't buy a t-shirt T_T A lot of Youtuber merch is just boring too.
