I don't mind the Modern Era referencing the Classic Series as such but then you get things like the last finale. The TARDIS being "seduced" by another force - WOW that's BAD, and that force is Sutekh and "finally after 50 of our years we get to see how his plan would've panned out and how would The Doctor counter it?" and...neither of those things were really referenced or concluded satisfactorily.

So I get the frustration.
