Nah, that IS super active for this kind of movie. If you browse "movies" on AO3, vast majority of them have less than 10 fics. The ones with fics in hundreds are generally part of a franchise, adaptations of something already popular, or both. A few one-shot movies will manage to capture enough of an audience that they'll get a steady flow of fanworks for a period of time before fading away. This movie came out long enough ago that the engagement has slowed to a crawl by now, but close to 900 fics is still impressive.
Also, there's a good chance of the fandom getting revived with the second movie being in works.

This. Movies rarely get big writing fandoms. So this one is pretty stellar.
