People say that abuse is never funny, but I say that the very existence of Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes cartoons proves otherwise.

Slapstick comedy is "abusive" behavior in a different context, because it's usually over-the-top and out there.

Just beating the hell out of someone, especially driven by years or decades of resentment, because the beater has the emotional maturity of a three-year-old and has never learned how to use their words, and thinks the only way to regulate their frustration is to hurt someone else, has never been funny.
