I love organizing my hobby materials. Sometimes I'll pull out my yarn boxes just to reorganize them, lol. How did you decide to organize yours?

I originally had 1 inch shelves that I made and hung on the wall. That worked really well until I started buying a mix of brands, got some glow in the dark, variegated, reflective, 60 weight for small lettering and patches…less than half my stash could fit on the shelves by the time I decided to change things up. I spent a boatload on Embroidex thread stands, they hold 60 spools each and I bought eight stands. Even if I can’t fit everything on them, I will have most of my collection on the thread wall and out of the precious cabinet space it’s been taking up.
I don’t do a lot with yarn because I just can’t get the hang of either knitting or crochet (I did better with knitting though). I put most of it into a giant tote and shrink wrapped it until I decide to try again or sell it all. I kept some of the prettiest ones out though and they get a cubby in the Kallax unit.
