I just remembered this out of nowhere when I saw this thread. When I took the SAT (US standardized test important in college applications), I went back and answered a question from a previous section. You're not supposed to do that. This was fourteen years ago. I've been to and graduated college. I won't get in any kind of trouble over this by now. But it matters to me because the only thing I've ever been good at is getting good grades, so my SAT scores are still one of the last things I can feel good about...but it's a lie. Technically, even though in a really small way, I cheated.

Oh wow that sounds like a terrible way of doing things. I always had an issue in tests that I'm completely blocked on an answer, skip it and then suddenly get an epiphany and go back to answer it. I would have had to hand in a half-empty test if I had to do it in one go without being allowed to go back.

Oh nonny, you have got to forgive yourself! That had no impact on your score because of how the SATs were graded. And any doors that opened for you took so much more into account than one test score. Your college, loans, high school grades and college grades…none of that was the SAT.
