Re: Adaptions you want

I'd like a straight adaptation of Sherlock Holmes (as in, no modern AU, no fresh spin that focuses on Holmes' drug addiction, etc.), one that sticks to the time period and tries to do justice to the actual cases rather than making it a big thing about Holmes and Watson's relationship. It's not that I haven't enjoyed many of the fresh take adaptations, it's just that I'd like to see a Granada-like adaptation, with a generous budget, attention to historical detail and a new Holmes and Watson that fit their roles like a glove.

And I'd REALLY like it if they don't obsessively focus on Moriarty in a series-long villain arc or screw up Irene Adler.
