Have you ever written fanfiction in the past? Are You currently writing a fic? Are you being haunted by a WIP that you haven't finished, or maybe guilty of having more than one WIP in progress?
Or have you never written a fic, but always wanted to?

lol I have a fic that I had abandoned around 2009 on ffnet. Originally I just did not have time to continue it because of school, but when I tried to login I had forgotten my password and lost access to the ancient email account for ffnet - so its out od my control with that one.

I have been writing fics on and off since 2020 for various fandoms since then. I usually only write one shots but have a WIP that I keep getting stuck on despite knowing how I want to end the story.

Only like 2-3 fics when I was like...12. They were definitely awful, lol.

I used to write a lot because I was in an active fandom. Some was ok, some was awful, some was surprisingly good. I’ve written a bit over the years of my muse demands but it’s been a long time now since she poked me with a stick. I do have an idea brewing for an old pairing in a dead fandom but no idea if it will come to anything. I’ll need to watch some movies in the canon universe to make sure my idea even works and honestly I’m not interested in them so idk.

Been writing fic for a long time, several in progress, even more planned/planned out. Already abandoned two long stories so I've been hesitant to post anything. But that's a doubleedged sword since that means no feedback, and lack of feedback can be discouraging. (I don't let that stop me from writing what I want but it can sometimes be a bummer.) I don't feel guilty about having several WIPs, only guilt about the ones I abandoned.

Wrote in the past. Not currently writing any atm.

I never post WIPs, only fic I'm done working on, even if it means that fic will remain as-is and left unfinished. I have two fics I have neither finished nor totally quit thinking about and tinkering at now and then, so they haven't been posted.

I hate posting things in chapters because it feels like I'm rushing myself to finish them or people are waiting for the next part.

Being as such above I can say I'm definitely not writing for feedback. I chip at a big fic until it's good enough for me then dump it into a fandom because I like it and think it's worth a read and others may too. Historically people have liked them a lot, then don't understand when I disappear because the project I did for myself in that fandom is done now. Sorry :(

I’ve been writing fic on and off for a couple of years. I have two WIPs at the moment, but I’ve made a promise to myself to never post anything unless it’s done because I abandoned too many fics in the past.

Yes, mostly PWP and a couple other one-shots. Not at the moment, I haven't had the time or energy. But yes, there are some WIPs and plot bunnies that haunt me.

I wrote a ton of them years ago.

I rarely write the odd paragraph on Tumblr, sometimes in response to the fan art that I see there. Otherwise, no.

Yes, I started writing fic in 2010, and have written almost 100 of them since!

I'm not inspired at the moment, though. My fandoms are all things I enjoy but nothing is compelling me to write for them because they're all pretty well-written onscreen (series and movies). I usually get the urge to "fix" canon that's unsatisfying or an unrealized ship.

Wish I had a great ship to stan right now! I miss it.

I've written a very short fic way back in the early -00s that I put up on ff.net. Other than that I've only written incomplete scenes that never went anywhere. Writers block since -05.

I wrote an atrociously indulgent self-insert smut fic when I was about 19. It was written on paper and I was so paranoid about someone finding it (my best friend could be a bit of a snooper) that I wrote it in tiny, incredibly faint pencil to make it as unreadable as possible to anyone but me.

I'm 34 now and still have it stashed in a drawer. I can laugh at it now.

Used to write a ton. Now, I've got one last WIP that I'm slowly pecking away at, and once it's finished, I'm probably out of the game for good.

I'm at the point in my life where, if I'm writing, I want it to be on original work rather than on fic.

I wrote fic back in the 90s and early 2000s, but haven't written anything in ages. I'm not a good writer by any stretch but it was fun and I do miss it. I just don't really have the inspiration or the drive anymore.

Yes! I've been writing fic since the early 2000s (though with a couple big breaks), and regularly post things (though a little less frequently this year). Love writing, love writing for people (through exchanges, etc).

Yeah, but mostly I don't post it, except for a couple of non-kinky sfw kinkmeme fills (yeah I know, what's the point?) and some askbox fics back when tumblr allowed anon asks without an account. My earliest fic was written in lined notebooks and is long gone, and I'm pretty sure my oldest typed fic is gone with the computer I saved it to.

One day I'd like to post some completed fic and especially longfic on my Ao3 account that I've only ever used to leave comments.

Yes, and still do! I'm not exactly frequent but I do pretty well for myself as far as attention goes. I'm an okay writer, but I find people like my fic concepts more than my writing. Most of it is for small fandoms, and the few I wrote for bigger fandoms have a key concept that is or was a common itch to scratch.

I have one time travel fixit for FFVII that is on hiatus, and haunting me, though.

Yes, I've written fanfiction. Yes, I'm currently writing a fic. I'm guilty of multiple unfinished already posted WIP fics. I have an 86 chapter completed fic in one fandom, a 39 chapter completed fic in another fandom and oodles of completed one shots in several fandoms. The current WIP is chaptered and currently stalled but it's drawer fic until I'm finished it, so no guilt involved.
