Huh, an interesting take, I guess. Certainly not one I’d ever have thought up.

I remember the movie being a very sweet modern fairytale and thinking that several actors did a good job with their roles.

I guess them being Muslim would create this way for the daughter to go out into the world veiled, partially explaining it, but also partially raising the question of the mother not veiling. And the whole pig-like thing would have an added dimension.
