I’m just got home after a very long day visiting my dad. Hubby and I loaded the dogs into the car and we had the most wonderful day. Both of my dogs swam (one NEVER gets into water voluntarily!) and I swam a bit, too. My swimmer dog is more comfortable if I’m in the lake with him and it was a great way to cool off. We all had a nice picnic and just a really great time. But damn I’m tired zzzzzz

It is Wednesday. Been a long week already. Also, personally, Flight Rising just released a new gene I'm in love with, so spent most of my evening on there.

I'm alive, but my brain is loudly reminding me that I've gotten way too little sleep the last couple days and if I don't go to bed at a reasonable hour tonight it won't be responsible for my actions tomorrow.

Also today kind of sucked because the monarch caterpillars I bought a bunch of native milkweed for over the weekend (because they ate all the plants I grew from seed to the ground) were all curled up dying or dead when I went to check on them this morning, so either the nursery or the grower they bought from probably sprayed the milkweed (which is literally only sold as monarch food and they know it) with insecticides. Dammit. Poor caterpillars.

I guess I need to build a butterfly proof enclosure to grow enough milkweed big enough to support caterpillars before they get to eat it; every year they eat the new seedlings to the ground and I go buy more, but they've never been poisoned before.

Been out of town for a week, and I don't read this place from a phone.

I do it on my phone once in awhile but it is so much more enjoyable with an actual keyboard and large screen.

I only wish I were dead.

Not quite sure I understand what you're saying. Like why would you actively involve yourself in something that would traumatize you?

I have covid and am on day three of quitting weed. Shit's pretty dire over here lol.

Ooof, rough timing to have those together. Though I guess if you were smoking it, it wouldn't be too good to do that with COVID anyhow. Either way, I hope things get easier and you make it through this!

I got into a disagreement on Facebook, on a local group and this woman I don't even know said some rather stupid, unpleasant things to me. Nothing truly terrible, it was just her "I don't care about anyone else but myself" attitude that really rubbed me the wrong way. I was polite and refused to engage further and the group admin told her to knock it off. So I guess you could say that the outcome was a good one for me? But here's the thing...

I don't like her now. I don't even know her. But for the past week, I've been drifting off to sleep imagining doing bad things to her property. Nothing that harms her physically, just over the top prank stuff. Like filling her car up with cow manure, or using weedkiller to spell out rude messages on her lawn. Letting all the air out of her tires. Seeding her lawn with dandelions and poison ivy. It sounds a bit silly now that I type it out, but it amuses me and helps me fall asleep peacefully.

As long as they stay fantasies, I don't see the problem. and ngl, I'd totally seed her lawn with dandelions, but not out of spite. I just like seeing bees.

I'll be honest... the only thing stopping me from vandalizing her lawn is the likelihood of getting caught and facing a criminal penalty. If I could just wave a magic wand and have hundreds of dandelions spelling out what turd she was without anyone ever knowing it was me, I would do it.

Let's hope that person isn't allergis to dandelions like I am. (Incidentally, I'm also fairly bee-phobic thanks to my mom being quite allergic to them when she was alive.)

I am pro fucking people's lawns, because lawns suuuuuck. I hate that my country always takes the fucking worst from the US.
Anyway. I have confession that is mostly vent. I want to drop my phone into a toilet and never look back. And mostly I want for my friends TO SHUT THE FUCK UP. I am lonely because I work from home and I hate it and I see the same people over and over again. But at the same time I just can't stand information overload that I have. And every meme or story or anything my friends send me at this point annoy me to hell and back. And I can't turn the phone because I need it for the work stuff. And can't ignore messages because my brain can't ignore them. The best would be having a second number but it's too late. I am so damn tired
