Any major fandom people, or people who went viral, you still wonder about?

I still wonder whatever happened to her, if she resurfaced under a new name, or what. I know there's an unrelated account with that name on LJ now.

Ellen Hayes, whatever happened to her? I mean apart from possibly being part of the Jan 6th crowd, of course.

Who? I googled it, and all I can find is someone who died in the 30's, and a fictional character.

She was a big fan writer, and wrote an original piece called The Saga of Tuck, and a big time anarchist/conspiracist who kinda, sorta, idolized the Columbine shooters.

Yeah, she was kinda nuts but she was a big part of a lot of the early fandoms I was part of and occasional ly I get griped by nostalga and wonder what happen when she vanished off the internet

One of my Tumblr friends from 2012 onwards. Their Sherlock blog is still up (not active though) so is their main one and their Russell Brand one (! lol don't judge, we were both big fans pre-allegations/Russell going full Trumpie/Christian). I had a few fandom friends during LJ days that I still think about. None of us really caught on to twitter or tumblr so we just kind of faded out and apart.

So this kinda got me thinking to old fandom drama and I went to lookup if the author of My Immortal was ever confirmed. This led me down a rabbit hole and long story short (too late) I’m now listening to a podcast that was originally created just to spork Ready Player One, a book whose popularity annoys and frustrates me.

Not really major ones but there were several (at least three I think) slash/yaoi authors/artists in several different fandoms I was in back in the day who at one point deleted all their gay content because they suddenly "found Jesus" and all gay stuff was a huge sin. And I wonder if they ever got out of what seemed like pretty intense fundie/cult situations. And in a very similar vein and a bigger example, though less with anything gay and more general fundamentalism: The author of Stand Still Stay Silent. That was... quite the whiplash as well.

Can't remember the details super well because I haven't been in the MCR fandom since I was 13, but I really want to know how the person that wrote A Splitting of The Mind is doing. I never read that fic myself but people to this day still talk about it like it's some holy text.

Weirdly... I don't wonder about BNFs or viral folk. There was a time I might have been curious, but maybe I'm just an old fuck now lol.
