Wrong characters for the secret, but I get your point. It just feels that the same people who are quick to slap a non-cis gender-label on a character or themselves are incredibly absolute and binary on what makes someone a woman or a man. Short hair? Likes to dress in plain t-shirts and jeans? Can't be a cis woman. Log hair? Colorful clothes and likes nailpolish? Can't be a cis man. Etc etc.

God do I wish I could be recognized as not a woman just by having short hair and wearing plain t-shirts and jeans. It would be so much less stressful to my mental health. But no, that doesn't happen to canonically female characters either. You're strawmanning hard. Aside from the odd fan who just headcanons every character as nonbinary (also fine!) it takes a lot more than that for an NB headcanon to become popular.
