I've kind of come to not like it very much as well.

I totally get being attracted upon first meeting, but the ways Person A and Person B build their relationship into romance needs to be executed in such a way that when the confession happens it's convincing. You can't just have instant chemistry and so you confess that it was love at first sight.

And perhaps the whole "I knew I loved you the moment I met you" line is really reductive so I don't buy it/don't like it. There has to be more to a good romance than instant chemistry/attraction.
