I'm super excited for the Suikoden 1 & 2 remaster finally having a release date! It's one of my all-time fav series and the remaster means it'll be way more accessible to people and that's all to the good.

But I'm a bit bummed out that they've retranslated the games and, from the screencaps we've been given so far, they've taken out much of the crazy, extraneous punctuation.

I know it'll be more grammatically correct but I'm going to miss the !!!!!!!!! and ............... and ????? since they added so much charm to the originals for me.

As long as they didn't alter Viktor's speech in Tinto, I'm good. (I'm also open to it being improved as well.) And it'll be nice to not be thrown out of the story by inconsistent spelling/translations. Or no translation at all (looking at you, hints guy in the Tinto region).

Yeah, I'm totally fine with the retranslation making more sense! I'm just gonna miss the punctuation. I just think it's so nonsensical and charming.
