What exactly is a fandom love? Is a specific fandom, character, ship, or something different? I'm unclear on the terminology.

My first thought was a crush on some other fan in the fandom, but going by the first comment in the general comments, I'm assuming it's not (or maybe a lot more people crush on fellow fans in fannish spaces, idk).

Are you saying you wish there were more generally-positive secrets vs. generally-negative ones? e.g. someone squeeing about something but making it a secret because they are embarrassed about it or being perceived as "cringe" but want to get it out there anyway? I'm not sure I understand what a "fandom love" is.

I've only read the book and boy was Glinda clearly pining and in the closet. But I don't think I can watch the movie because it will kill all enthusiasm I have for this relationship on the grounds of Ariana Grande playing Glinda.
