YMMV, but F!S seems awfully grouchy, compared to what it used to be like. And, much as I'd like to post about whatever I'm into and geek out about what I love, that "I have no idea if I'd get people being happy alongside me or trying to declare the thing Problematic and the author also" ... puts a damper on wanting to make secrets like that.

Most of what I love is not up for other people to tell me to stop thinking about it or thinking of it fondly. When I come across that kind of attempted manipulation, I tune it out. But I would feel like I brought it on myself if I was going into panfandom spaces and centering my faves, when fandom at large seems to have bought into the idea that abstaining from "immoral" media made by "immoral" people is some sort of general obligation.

I don't mind hearing that people dislike things that I like for their own reasons. But they've got no boundaries and no sense of decency when they try to assert that I have to agree with them.
