Has anyone participated?

I am not an artist at all and frankly can't draw for shit, but I thought it would be fun to do one drawing a day for about a month and then I realized Inktober is coming up. I'm wondering if it would be weird for a non-talented non-artist person to use the tag or join the communities and if maybe I should just do it for myself and not join? I am absolutely over thinking this, but I would love experiences and opinions if anyone has them to share.

Just to clarify...you're not an artist, so are you saying you're going to join just to look/read/watch? Or...what exactly?

I say join everything, follow everything, comment, discuss - enjoy! The art is there to look at, and creators always like feedback.

Oh no, I would join amd post my daily drawings! I am just...not an actual talented artist. I just thought it sounded fun and I don't mind doing things I'm bad at!

I am just wondering if the culture of the community is specifically for artists, or more like NaNo where it is just a fun thing anyone can join in.

Ah ha! Okay. I think....most people would be perfectly happy to have anyone, at whatever level of ability, join in. I say go for it. :D

I've seen a lot of beginner artists posting in the tag. People are very encouraging. The only thing I would say is don't post stuff like "I'm such a terrible artist, this is shit" and heavily self-deprecating things like that. "I'm a beginner" is fine, "I'm terrible" is not.

Oh yeah I wouldn't do that for sure. I would just say I am very new to art and here for fun.
