This one is reasonably well-known, but Rec. is tight, intense, and scary as shit. (it's in Spanish with English subs, just fyi)

It Follows is basically a classic at this point, but just in case you've missed it.

Oculus is a little bit lesser known, I think, and a favorite of mine. Tons of similar narrative elements as Flanagan's later work, The Haunting Of Hill House, but in a much tighter package, and taken in a different direction.

If you're interested in an odd little indie horror/sci-fi psychological thriller, The Endless is fairly good.

And not really horror at all, but still Halloween appropriate, Only Lovers Left Alive is a funky little euro indie vampire movie with a superb cast and vibes for days.

I like It Follows and Oculus a lot.
I also like Murder Party.
