What is everyone doing this weekend?

Our tiny town fair is here so tomorrow I'll walk over and get some lunch. I also have to trim out tomato plant back. It is out of control! Other than that, the usual for me.

Tomorrow Resting mostly, getting my covid booster at lunchtime.

Sunday going to church to man a table to get people to sign up for our event that is several speakers speaking about the border, immigrants, and such. Oh and taking mom to the airport at 4:30.

I'm really excited about it. We've put a lot of work into it. Three different speakers from three different nonprofits who all do great work. I'm super excited, so I really hope we get a good number of people to sign up.

I want to go to the Haight St fair in SF on Sunday if my leg isn't too messed up (it still hurts right now because I had a prosthetic knee put in)

I wouldn't mind! Though, I think we are looking at arriving on Tuesday and leaving on Saturday so that might not be days you want to hang out.

Can you recommend anything? We'd love a local's perspective. So far we are looking at the Disney Museum, MOMA, Alcatraz, Exploritarium, Ferry Building Marketplace. It is near Halloween so hoping we might be able to see some events or shows.

Or any local food spots you could recommend. We will probably be staying in the area of all those tourist spots. Lol.

First weekend in a while I am not picking up extra shifts or have plans, so I am free to do whatever! Might tidy up the garden and move a few plants inside - it is getting chilly at night these days. And by chilly I mean in the 50s, so not like frist or anything.

Tomatoes are so fun to grow because when they do well they just take lff and go wild.

I hope you have fun relaxing and tidying up your garden. :D

I just with it hadn't killed our carrots. It took over everything!

I’ve never tried growing tomatoes, but I absolutely love the ones that the nearly farm grows outdoors. Now you’ve got me considering whether we could actually grow our own.

Depending on variety, but they are the one thing I can consistently grow no matter where I am or if they are in containers or the ground. I find cherry tomatoes are the easiest.

Flatmate is away, so I’m hoping to do some serious cleaning (in my pants) and some serious cooking (that takes up the burners and might be smelly).

All accompanied by music and my awful singing along.

That honestly sounds heavenly.

Yeah. I like my flatmate, we’re definitely friends. But being alone is great and I’m trying to take advantage.

Taking slow weekend. Frankly I am annoyed about it. We have perfect weather, but I have been having low-grade fever for some time now so I really should take it easy. And I can't take days off because I am at a new job and my new partner in a hospital.
I don't even know if it's some kind of a cold (I met A LOT of new people this month) or stress. (this job is new, stressful to start with and I have no one to help me with it). So tv shows and some cleaning is a go

Ohhh no. I hope the relaxing at home helps. I hate when I get sick just enough to feel crummy.
