In significantly less awful news, I recall there was some rudeness on the part of the comcon about masking a couple of years ago, and there have been ongoing problems with long time comics vendors and artists being pushed out of the con.

I don’t think it’s about this. That is a few dozen little kids, all with SDCC badges. The sting only rescued one juvenile, a 16 year old.

The headlines are misleading, that incident was not "at Comic-Con," it was "during Comic-Con." Like the article says, "sex traffickers capitalize on large-scale events such as Comic-Con to exploit their victims for profit." They brought victims to the area because the large number of people in the area for the con might give them more business. But like, it's not Comic-Con's fault that happened, that could and probably does happen at any huge event.

People all forget that last part.
It was "During" Comic-con, and none of the arrested people had badges for it.
