(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 12:59 am (UTC)(link)if your trauma from being picked on as a kid is so bad, you don't want to see kids...you need to go therapy.
Why? Avoiding kids does not harm them, and OP has every right to avoid them if they want. Why does that require therapy? I mean, if it was causing OP great distress every day of their life knowing that kids exist in the world then yeah, I'd agree that that could use some therapy, but that's not the impression I'm getting from the secret? They dislike something, they avoid it, and they're sharing their frustration. I don't think it's that big of a deal?

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:12 am (UTC)(link)But it isn’t possible to avoid kids all the time. And people like OP have verbally and physically assaulted children just for existing in public spaces. Of course they need therapy and you should give your head a wobble, too.

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:42 am (UTC)(link)Seriously, consider stopping because you're also coming off as needing therapy about this.

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:56 am (UTC)(link)unhinged psychopaths in Childfree communities on FB and Reddit
I don't use Facebook, but I've been on the Childfree community on Reddit. People like to talk about how horrible everyone is there, but it's just not true. The posts are things like "my boss is expecting me to work overtime because I'm the only one in the office without kids" and venting about how that's unfair, or "my neighbor's kid hit a ball into my window and broke it and the parents don't want to pay to get it fixed, how do I handle this situation?" or "my sibling from out of town is coming to visit and wants to stay with their four small children in my house but my spouse has health problems and the noise and activity would be too much for them, how do I politely tell my sibling no?" and stuff like that. I have literally never seen anything there to suggest people hurting kids.

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:34 am (UTC)(link)people like OP have verbally and physically assaulted children just for existing in public spaces
And going back to the original post, I said this:
as long as they're not harming any actual kids, it doesn't hurt anything for OP to hate them and not want to see any
But I get it, reading comprehension is hard for some people.

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:39 am (UTC)(link)Source. Cause I know for a fact you're pulling that shit out of your ass. (Methinks the "multiple people" is really just you, btw.)
(frozen comment) Re: DA
(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:44 am (UTC)(link)Hold on, why are we even accepting anon's projection and assuming OP is a "childfree extremist"?
Is anyone who wants to avoid small children a childfree extremist too? Because there sure are a lot of people like that and most of them aren't going around slapping kids.
(frozen comment) Re: DA
(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:47 am (UTC)(link)That's why I want a source, because there isn't gonna be one. They'll only have their "experience." They sound an awful lot like the republicans going after "childless cat ladies".

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:52 am (UTC)(link)Sigh, no. Someone said /r/childfree vibes. Reddit's subreddit of very anti children people are not the entire group of people who are childfree, just like Reddit's /r/antiwork is not representative of all leftists, nor is Reddit's /r/politics representative of all US politics.
Of course subreddits focused around something draw the more extreme people. But that is not all childfree people.

(Anonymous) 2024-09-20 01:49 am (UTC)(link)Also, "Childfree extremists" like there's some epidemic of people "verbally assaulting" strange children in public spaces. That is not happening on any large scale, unless you're one of those people with a "children are all angels and can do no wrong" mindset and one not paying attention and running into someone's cart at the grocery store and the person saying "hey, watch out!" is considered "verbal assault" to you.
