Thinking that ACAB is overly simplistic (while I don't agree) is not fascist. Neither does it mean you support Trump. At the same time, I don't think there's really a lot of damage being done by people overusing the term.

NAYRT, but this is pretty much a universal problem in fandom, and not just with this. The constant barrage of 'hot button' issues as buzzwords to hammer home some arbitrary shipping war or whatever have watered down a lot of very serious, very real concerns into meaningless, overblown stupidity from ranting antis.
