People are probably going to argue at you about being or feeling shamed or whatever but I kinda agree. I don't think it's shameful to like stepsister porn or whatever extremely popular genre there is, but I'm not going to hit the like button to post it to my Twitter account to inform my friends and family. I'm not ashamed of posting here but it's comfortable to be anon and be able to leave conversations when you want without people able to follow you around.

Idk. The easiest way to deal with controversy is to avoid it. Nobody needs to know what you're into in fandom besides the people who are into the same thing(s). Not being a "Proud [Whatever] Fan" doesn't mean you're ashamed. Privacy is nice.
