The entire second part of your post... I feel that so hard. I didn't notice much since I was only writing fic in the 2010s until the Discord migration of my fandoms. But when I produce fanworks now, I feel like a product and nothing else and it's frustrating. I'll still make fanworks but I definitely can't keep up with whatever this shit is and really don't feel like it.
