... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that secrets with lots of text are sometimes difficult to accommodate. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

Every time a join a fandom Discord, my first action is to immediately mute 90% of the channels and all notifications.

Idk why fan Discords insist on having so many channels totally unrelated to the fandom they're for. I've absolutely no interest in the random personal lives of other fans. That's not what I'm here for!

I'm real tired of all the aging actors that have been the same old action heroes in the same old franchises for the past 10-20 years.

Sure, sometimes we get a fresh franchise like John Wick, but what are we on, Mission Impossible 20? Wolverine and the Xavier Institute for Retirees?

But I can't think of any up-and-coming new actors/actresses that would be convincing action stars to replace them. :(

I never understood End of Evangelion. I used to think that this was because I watched it when I was drunk, but this year I watched it sober. I think it actually makes more sense while drunk.

The best way to sum up The Last Jedi is it is one fantastically choreographed fight scene, and one wonderfully shot piece of cinematography scene, with a garbage movie surrounding them. Thank god for fools easily impressed by snappy visuals.

When I say I like certain streamers, I mean that I like watching vods of streamers doing their thing, which is mostly commenting on news or playing games.

I prefer the long-form videos so I can pause or replay things. It's also similarly entertaining but feels less creepy parasocial because the audience they're interacting with is not "me," it's people in the chat who were watching at the time, the same as any recorded performance with a live audience.

I have absolutely zero interest in watching their livestreams live, though. I kind of feel like a bad fan.

I really want a Batman series or movie with the Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond as the main character.

Ancient Bruce who had seen and done all the shit, and was old and tired and jaded was the most interesting version of him.

The rest of the show I can take or leave.

I'm glad the Frasier Reboot second season has finally worked out the character voices of the new cast, and how to bounce off each other, I just think if season one had had a full 22episode order like in the old days then they'd have managed by the end of the first season instead of waiting for the second.

Richard Kind just makes every tv show better, the guy is just so good at what he does. And what he does is so very wonderful. Put him in all the shows.

I don't often ship het ships hard, but when I do, I apparently pick all the ones with the (allegedly) worst fandoms.

Harry/Hermione. Zuko/Katara. Rey/Kylo.

Look. I was never part of these fandoms. I enjoyed some of the fanworks and lurked.

I KNOW these fandoms are/were pretty bad. I STILL feel sad/insulted when people mention how awful the shippers are, despite knowing they don't mean me.

My only true squick in fandom is Character/Me.

Other people self-shipping? No problem.

Imagine my IRL self in there? Ewww.

I don't even dislike myself! It's just so absurd that I cringe out of my skin.

I despise Musical Episodes of tv shows. Yet I love actual Musicals, it is weird.

My beef with deconstructions is that not that they're too common but that they're invariably depressing and doom and gloom. Like writers think dark and gritty is the only way a deconstruction is valid.

It's entirely possible to deconstruct a genre and not have it end up in a crapsack universe. Or well, any crappier than the original tropes were. And there's room for hope and improvement even then.

Terry Pratchett had the right idea, for one.

I recently got into a new actor and am absolutely in love with one of the main characters he's played on TV. but I found out something absolutely tragic happened to him in real life so I feel like a bit of a monster for doing horrible things to him in my fanfictions, even though I'm torturing the character and not the actor. I just look at his face and imagine him losing his child and thinking he's been through enough. Am I a monster for hurting his character?

So tired of idiots still twisting George Carlin's comedy bits for their own agenda in 2024. I'm also tired of idiots who think he is some philosophical god who can do no wrong. Just because he spoke of alternative ways of attaining polio immunity during a time there was no vaccine available, you think that means he was anti-vax? Oh, what? You're not going to vote because some dead guy decided for himself that voting never changes anything? Never question a thing he told you, just go along with it because it somehow sounds wise? Don't think for yourself, don't anticipate or respond to changes in a situation, don't look at the literal data in front of you, just act smug, hold onto any confirmation bias, and look down on others because it makes your life easier. All while forgetting that this is exactly the kind of person Carlin would have made fun of.

I firmly believe that Tolkien would've hated JK Rowling's works, but would have loved Mercedes Lackey's. Even if the latter did have racecar driving elves.

The first DC property I encountered as a young teen was the Justice League animated series (my mother did watch the old Batman movies from time to time and I KNEW the names of the most important characters, but never truly got into them before) and thus my Batman ship is forever Bruce/Diana.
I know Catwoman is canonically his true(st) love and I do like Selena, but I could never get into the pairing after latching on to Wonder Woman as his love interest so hard.

I'm afab (identify as agender) and have been using pads since my first period. The idea of something going up there and being wedged squicks me out, so I've never used tampons.

I wonder if this is linked to how uncomfortable I am over the idea of hetero sex. Never mind my pregnancy phobia.

Like most people, I don't enjoy reading fic that's riddled with typos, but I'm secretly fond of there being a typo or two in a good fic. It's like the old knitting superstition where the knitter leaves a deliberate flaw in a piece, and it's strangely comforting.

When I heard the speculation of Logan Paul being on steroids, my first reaction was to immediately feel bad for the steroids. The way I see it, they deserve better than that.
