You could have just left that part off though and chose not to. You can say it’s hyperbole all you want and draft lists of excuses but as any idiot knows, even joking about violence against children is wrong. And if you really have the job you claim you do, you would know that as a mandatory reporter.

It’s wrong for mandatory reporters. Context is key.
And if OP gets unmasked, they’ll be reminded of that when they lose their career and get a court mandate to stay 50 yards away from children.
