GenX was the first to even have video games, in our childhood when kids were still the only demographic (trust me, I lived it - my boomer parents were not who Pong was marketed to, let alone arcade consoles, Atari home systems, etc). The only reason anyone is surprised that we're still gaming in our 40s-50s is because somehow the media narrative was that like boomers, we would quit doing the things that made us happy when we "grew up." And, we collectively said, fuck you we do what we want. That is, when the media even remembers to check in on us between crying about millennials and avocado toast, lol.

Come join us in the old folks home, kids, we'll have Pac-man on the console and movie marathons with Labyrinth and Legend.
