I'm sending you hugs, OP.
This comment section seems to be full of people who don't understand that thought crimes are NOT crimes.
(I bet they also think that having any kinks that would be crimes irl in fiction means that they want thos stuff to happen, too)

I work in retail. I often have fantasies that involve being mean to customers (of all ages) during a stressful day, but I'd never do it.
It's cathartic. It's normal.

It’s pretty rare for retail workers to harm their customers and of course the customers are not under the control of the retailer workers. But it’s very common for teachers and child minders to hurt children, sometimes individually and sometimes en masse. That why you get stories like the cheerleaders who had second degree burns all over their hands because they did something in their own free time that their coach didn’t like a few weeks ago.
There’s also the fact that you’re phrasing your fantasies as fantasies.
And the last big difference is that as a retail worker, you have no obligation to monitor your customers to asses their well being, not are you legally required to report to anybody if you have any reason to think someone is harming them. You are aren’t in charge of them in any way. But teachers and child minders are. And while it may be a normal fantasy that’s just cathartic, there is a time a place. OP lacks good judgement, which of course is not a great trait for anyone working with children. This is especially true that they tried to excuse it all by saying the kids are rich and therefore deserving.
