Feel very mixed about the response to this. Like, its very easy to say just get over bad mental health - especially trauma which works about as well as wearing bright clothing = abolishing depression, as well as 'just get therapy' - the thing that costs money and is usually inaccessible to anyone too poor or not 'worthy' enough by a lot of shitty healthcare systems.

That's not the point most people are making here. The point isn't "get over it" or "just get therapy", the point is people like the "cat" NEED some sort of help for their obvious mental issues and using those issues as an excuse for questionable behaviour on the basis of "that's just how they are" is not it.

I'm one of the responders and I'm personally against therapy as the go-to response for problems, which is why my criticisms didn't involve that. (It's done more harm for me and I can't afford the good stuff.)
