This secret is a little confusing to me. No shade or anything, but if you don't watch the show and don't ship the juggernaut fic ship anymore, then does it really matter how the fandom would react to that particular thing, either way?

(I do think almost all queerbaiting discourse in relation to this show is ridiculous given how many canon queer characters and relationships are part of it.)

You can tease a ship without it being queerbaiting. It's literally not queerbaiting if one of the characters is canonically bisexual and has dated a dude. It's just a specific ship not happening.

I kinda forgot to ad that I 1.) always kinda planned to catch up on the show eventually 2.) I am still kinda following what is happening on the show online and thus keep seeing them

I mean. I'm only saying I'm not actively shipping them anymore in the way that I don't currently watch the show, don't read fic or interacting with the fandom in any way. Like I said, ignoring all else, I would not exactly be unhappy if they happened. (I'm usually quite good at just ignoring fandom, but this one is just so so so loud in my online spaces.)

I am still in the fandom. And I'm really happy that Buck is now canonically bi. But I never shipped these two. Honestly Buck is my least favorite character, so I don't really ship him with anyone. But I just don't see these two as romantic ever, personally. And yes, the fandom is really obnoxious.

I'm sure there's some stuff I haven't seen, but the "Buck/Eddie fans are awful" narrative bothers me because it's not something I've seen on any large scale. Are there some who are annoying? Sure. But for the most part, I feel like they're understandably angry at being called crazy and delusional for years.

Ditto, OP. I love Eddie and Buck is such a train wreck of a human, it's hilarious to watch him do stupid shit. The fandom glorifies him as if he isn't an absolute crash car, and writes him so OOC it's painful to read.

Haha, nope. In canon, Buck (the one in the foreground) had a crush on a different guy, which led to him realizing he's bi, and he's now dating that guy, so now there are massive ship wars between the people who ship him with Eddie (the guy in this pic, who's been his best friend for years) and the people who like him with the guy he's dating in canon, Tommy. Eddie has only had relationships with women in the show thus far but those relationships have all gone disastrously and he is very clearly not into women. The general theory is that there will be a "Eddie realizes he's gay" plot soon (there are several reasons for this theory, including a bunch of behind the scenes stuff from interviews with the co-creator and/or actors, plus the stuff that's happened in the show itself), Buck and Tommy will break up (there have been mentions of obstacles/drama in their relationship happening soon, also from interviews) and then Buck and Eddie will get together.

So they're not together in canon (yet) but it seems fairly likely that they will be eventually. Which I don't think was the case with Teen Wolf (I'm not positive since I never watched it), so I think it's probably a bit of a different situation.
