I kinda get you - it's a mood/esteem related thing for me, especially if a fic got a nice comment or two so I know that I didn't just produce something I found worthwhile, I gave someone else a moment of enjoyment too. (I do love other people's fics though.) But if I'm in a down mood about my writing I sometimes can't bear to look at old stuff, especially if it was the sort of writing that made me vulnerable in some way.

I think rereading old bits of writing is much like any other kind of navel-gazing - mostly a complete waste of time but you never know what you might find there.

I just finished watching the last episode and am still feeling quite sad. I know nothing about the fandom - who people like, dislike, ship, etc. But he is defiantly one of my favorites on the show. So hearing people don't like/care about him is making the sadness grow a bit.
