Yeah. I think it's harder for a younger actor to break in to such roles because blockbuster action flicks/franchises are so damn EXPENSIVE these days and movie studios are so conservative. They want a big name to carry the film, and are far more wary of a younger, lesser known actor because the risk is greater.

That said, I'm with you. It'd be nice to see more variety in the genre itself but I'm also bad at thinking of someone who could do it.
