Which one? He was in two. And I enjoyed watching his performance, it started off like his usual aw-shucks character but then he slowly pulled back the curtain on how loathesome the character he was playing actually was. The dark side of the "nice" guy.

The problem I have with it is that they never fully commit to it though. Like, he is absolutely horrendous, but in a way, he still stays the 'aw shucks' guy, even in the second episode. I feel like if they had fully condemned him and actually said 'no, his actions were completely reprehensible and irredeemable (pun kinda intended), I would have been a lot more positive about it. But they never do, not even in the second episode, so, it just all leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.

You mean those two episodes of SGA, where it's hard to say whether the second was even worse than the first? Yeah, no, those sucked horribly, indeed. I take his role in the Stargate movie over those any day.
