Depends on the art style and how the characters are overall portrayed I guess? It can definitely be done in an "othering" way, or involve elements of caricature.

dude, I could maybe understood your POV if you chose any other example, this artist literally draws all of their other brown/black chars without lips. the one you used in the secret is the first one with lips, makes me think this whitch girly is wearing lipstic instead of having full lips.

God, I love it when he pops up in things. He's SO good! I can also usually recognize him by voice alone thanks to being super into Kim Possible as a kid and him voicing Frugal Lucre in that.
