Ha ha, yes, I am from a country where it's ranked choice voting for just about everything and until the last decade or so we had to number every square or your vote was invalid. And some of the upper house voting papers were the size of a small tablecloth, with 250 candidates or more, which is why the rules changed! Now you have to number a minimum or 6 or 10 depending on the election but you can still number as many as you like.
