This. One thing that will help a lot is that Trump is not in power this time, and can't keep the National Guard from stopping any trouble if the Trumpers want to start it.

If the Supreme Court is solidly on his side, ready to lay down the law of the law in his favor, does it matter if he is not in office or not? He's already in power in all but name. Harris orders in Natty Guard, SCOTUS issues an emergency ruling standing them down, same result.

I mean, they can't issue a ruling unless it's in a court case. Rubber stamping stupid Trump bullshit, sure, but even the current kangaroo SCOTUS (probably) won't treat a piece of grease-stained paper with "I do what I want-DT" on it as a case.
