I enjoyed DBZ while it was running but it is easily one of the stupidest things I have ever watched, so you’re not missing out on not getting it OP. Even as a fan I can’t say you’re loosing out on anything.

I'm not quite finished yet, but I'm a little baffled by the lukewarm-to-harsh response this series has gotten. It's got plenty of flaws, absolutely! But geez, find me a cdrama that doesn't have issues. I love the look of the show which is a cut above many in terms of styling, backdrops and special effects. SO many shipping possibilities, and I'm not even into shipping, per se. I like the Found Family aspect and the light hearted moments are funny and cute. It's no Nirvana in Fire but it's fun and I'm enjoying it very much.

I also appreciate that it shows a close female friendship (with shipping possibilities) that doesn't involve two women fighting over a dude, which is not uncommon in cdramas. I do wish the female lead were more interesting and had more to do, however. She spends a lot of time being helpless and crying, which could totally get on a person's nerves but again... not uncommon in cdramas.




****SPOILER ALERT****





A not-insignificant number of people don't like the ending, because there are multiple character deaths. I don't like that either, but... again, this is a cdrama, that's not unheard of. I have a few more episodes to go, so I'll see if the deaths make narrative sense but so far, I'm not bothered. Sad, yeah. But not in a "THIS IS SO UNFAIR AND RUINS EVERYTHING!!!!" kind of way.

Sidenote: Wasn't there an ep with a giant tentacle monster in the mariana trench? It has been years since I thought about this show and even more years since I watched it so who knows.

We're rewatching it (dubbed) and genuinely the best part is knowing that one man voices 80% of the Namek saga. Yes, that character too.

It's fun and funny. Nothing I'd tattoo on my body or theme my car after.

Not very. Took me forever to get a smartphone and even then, the most I use it is if I'm driving and don't want to listen to the radio.

Annoying but doable

I would get annoyed at not being able to text people or quickly look something up, but other than that a weekend with no phone is doable. I try to limit my screen time anyway, I have found it really messes with my depression of I am on my phone too much.

But I wouldn't be able to do any longer due to work.

Physical phone? Not hard at all, I have 2-3 instances of Nox running on my computer at all times playing various games so I'd just emulate the other functions if I needed it.

I don't remember the last time I actually phone-called or phone-texted someone.
