I genuinely don't know how anyone managed to get past Tony to watch this show, a friend of mine tried showing me a few episodes of this years ago and I just could not get past how annoying and awful he was.

to be fair to the character tropes, if you cut your teeth on everything from Moonlighting to ER to every single 80s sitcom, Tony isn't a strange unknown character. He's every shitty fuckboy we've seen a million times before. He's Bruce Willis, George Clooney, and everyone else from the 80s. There's a definite cutoff age-wise for people who shrugged and ignored Tony because we'd seen it before, versus those who weren't willing to take another one any longer.

He's a lot worse, though. He's a genuine asshole. Then again, I personally think Gibbs is worse than him. Tony at least has some respect for his female coworkers for the most part (although how he treated Caitlin Todd in the first couple of seasons was not okay). Gibbs doesn't treat women as equals. He's more subtle about it but worse.
