My dad fell off the ladder this weekend passed and it's made me start to think about needing to keep things around the house to be able to deal with my parent's (eventual) failing health. I'm the only child still at home so it feels like it falls on me, even though I could probably ask my siblings to help out (I'm too proud to do that).

The cost of an average defibrillator is $2.3k. I don't know if that's an expense I'm willing to make when one is available at the chemist just around the corner from home.

I wish I could stop thinking about this but between his fall and mum's fits last year I'm dealing with a bit of trauma I think.
