Thinking if we just put something the right way, someone will think of it differently or begin to understand how we see it, is kind of how we operate. This applies whether you are debating which Beatle is the best (George, it's totally George), which Salvatore brother Elena should end up with (yeah, probably Stefan, but Damon is so much more fun), whether any animated movie needs a live-action remake (no), or whether the government should pay for healthcare for all (resounding yes from me). Yeah, one of these things is not like the others, but since it can actually have serious real-life consequences, I don't think it's a bad (or idiotic) thing to discuss if someone feels the need to. They probably won't change anyone's minds, but the possibility exists. You don't actually have to join in or even read if you don't want, you can scroll by.
