P!nk anon here.

I went to my second concert with my dad who's also a huge fan of the artist (Tones and I). We both had a good time and he said it was the best concert he's ever been to, and he's seen a few in his time (he's 80).

By the time it came to go, I realised that a lot of venues aren't disabled friendly. We were high up and the stairs were tiny with no railing. As I gear up to see Green Day in March, I'm worried about my knee and the impact it might have on my night.

Both concerts I was helped by individual strangers down the stairs and they were lovely people who went out of their way to do so, but they shouldn't. Concerts should be accessible for everyone, not just the able bodied.

Oh this!
A lot of venues have an absolutely outrageous stairs. And toilet access is something else.

Speaking of. I am into classical music and there is a point where you should sacrifice some of historical parts if you are using this building for public. Because some of the venues I've been are bad bad.

AYRT

I held my pee for four hours (concert plus driving home time) because I was terrified to go down those stairs in the dark. I never hold my pee if I can help it.

I understand that a lot of venues are old but they should be updated to today's health and safety standards and disabilities should be taken into consideration. I noticed we weren't the only ones who struggled with the stairs.

Oh this sucks!
As someone with overactive bladder I would have absolutely peed myself ahahaha (this and other issues make me ridiculously aware of public toilets and when they are lacking *sigh)
