... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

I finally watched the new Mononoke movie. And I wasn't thrilled.
I absolutely loved the original movie and show but the new movie feel like someone tried really hard to imitate it but didn't really understand what they were doing. They just took everything that was good in the show and dialed it up to 11 but they did TOO MUCH of basically everything.
It was basically sensory overload - the movie. I had a migraine after watching it. It wasn't anywhere near as good as the original and it also managed to look worse despite likely having a much bigger budget.
So yeah, love the franchise but sorry, not a fan.

I went to my second concert with my dad who's also a huge fan of the artist (Tones and I). We both had a good time and he said it was the best concert he's ever been to, and he's seen a few in his time (he's 80).

By the time it came to go, I realised that a lot of venues aren't disabled friendly. We were high up and the stairs were tiny with no railing. As I gear up to see Green Day in March, I'm worried about my knee and the impact it might have on my night.

Both concerts I was helped by individual strangers down the stairs and they were lovely people who went out of their way to do so, but they shouldn't. Concerts should be accessible for everyone, not just the able bodied.

I enjoy the occasional cooking/baking Youtube videos, but I do NOT understand "rescuing someone's failed cake/dessert/meal" video - tho it's usually cake.

They literally CAN'T rescue that cake, because it's literally already gone, so they usually try to replicate the failed thing (while speculating what maybe went wrong) and THEN create something from it... and I just don't get it. You're not actually rescuing anything?

It's even worse when it's a cake they ordered and just didn't like the look of cause then they can't even really "teach you" what to do different next time?

I don't tend to have 'drawer fic'-- even my most self-indulgent fics (rare pairs, AUs, kinks, crossovers) are things I put out there in case someone else is seeking the same thing I am. I've never been too embarrassed to post any of it.

... the Commander Kruge/OC smut might be the thing to change that.

I'd rather read the the plot and spoilers for a horror movie than watch it. This goes double for gorey or controversial horror movies.

I don't research authors. Don't usually follow them on social media - there are very few exceptions that usually have to do with me liking a small author's work and having no other way to get alerted when they have a new book out.

Apart from their names (because I might want to read more of their works), I do not care. I'm here for their work and nothing else. MAYBE their pets.

(Obviously if there is a big controversy about something, I do usually see it and depending on what it's about, I'll stay away.)

Yes, I read diverse. No, I usually don't know what boxes the author ticks off before I buy a book and I barely remember after when someone asks. (Might subscribe to their newsletter though if they have one and I want to read more by them)

Amanda Rollins was the cop from Law and Order SVU who annoyed me the most. Her habit of victim blaming and idolizing powerful men was irritating. Secret because most people hate Stabler the most.

I Crystal Dynamics ruined Tomb Raider with the survivor trilogy, and even LAU trilogy has been tainted beyond belief by learning about all the bullshit, spite, backstabbing, and contempt for the franchise that was in the background, so now I'm a 100% Classic Tomb Raider purist. Vocally & publicly. None of that is a secret.

The secret is that while I will always hate the bow and climbing axe... I still kinda dig the grapple. It was a fun mechanic.

(Again, I'm not precious about wording, edit / trim / lose anything you think necessary to make a good secret)

The unrelenting posting of Bad-Faith-Take Anon on FS is really starting to bum me out. It is like they can't help themselves running to the comment section to give the most negative and hostile reading of any secret. I wonder what they get out of it.

I think that Star Wars Skeleton Crew proves once and for all that Star Trek Prodigy was made in the wrong franchise. Just a poor damn fit.

Whenever someone asks me what my musical taste is like, I dunno how to reply. Meme music, mashups, and weird/entertaining/fun but unquestionably non-meaningful shit is all I listen to on a day-to-day basis. But that's not a genre and/or takes things from all genres.

I very much don't take music seriously, and when it tries to get serious, I usually don't like it.

I miss when games were actually FINISHED before they were released. I don't want to pay an additional $89 something for a game that should, in theory, been complete upon release.

While I love seeing what people watched and read in a year, I couldn't care less about Spotify Wrapped and this year it's actively annoying me.
All those "Tell me your song on 85th place", "How far down is the first *insert language song here* song on your list?", "Which is the first song that starts with the first letter of your name?" posts that are flooding my tumblr dash (and I assume the instagram stories but I haven't really been there first weeks) are making me gnash my teeth.
(Wish I could blacklist, but somehow everyone has decided to not tag???)

Ofc I'm not saying anything (except here), because it's just innocent fun and people need that.
