What "problematic" tropes do you like in fandom?

Age difference, daddy kink, and mentor/mentee. I also don't mind ships with adult/teenager but I only read them when the teen is a character that looks, acts, and is treated like an adult by the canon. So the MHA or JJK teens? Sure. Mob Psycho? Nah.

Also, incest but only when seemingly only twins where one comes back from the dead as evil and really obsessed with his brother (VashKnives, DanteVergil). It's a niche one but I love it.

Does ageplay count as problematic? It is hard to find now because people like their regressor non-sexual age play, mores the pity.

And sometimes I'm just in the mood for dark fucked up fic and then I'll read all sorts of problematic stuff. Too many to name lol

Love age play of all types!

Abhorrent admirers. I guess it's a form of gallows humor on my end, since having creeps hit on or feel entitled to me growing up (and even as an adult) was absolutely traumatic. But seeing fictional characters act sleazy or incel-y towards their one-sided object of affection is oddly satisfying.

Oh I have such a thing for this too! I don't know where exactly mine comes from, something to do with the mixed feelings of flattery and disgust I experienced in similar situations to what you described, and I think something about the boldness and nastiness of it speaks to my id.

Mother/daughter incest... Mommy kink and mentor figure stuff too, older and younger woman age gap in general I guess if you find that problematic

(Yes I'm into it because of my shitty childhood and yes I do find it cathartic, but I also just find it hot as a fantasy lol, sue me)

I've read some father/son fics in my day. What are some mother/daughter ships?

Re: What "problematic" tropes do you like in fandom?

They're few and far between honestly! It's such a taboo kink even among some incest shippers. Father/son is a bit more common and also appeals to me for similar reasons, if you want to share any ships.

Kill la Kill is great for this, there's a mother/daughter incest abuse storyline that really resonated with me, and more metaphorical themes of that nature. I loved the characterization of the abusive mother even though the show as a whole was kind of hit and miss for me. Seeing such a graphic depiction of it was refreshing, I know people criticized it for being over the top or fetishistic but as a survivor I liked seeing it shown so explicitly, since it's a very stigmatized topic. I was kind of shocked when I rewatched it and the spanking scene actually happened in canon because I had assumed it was some type of filthy fever dream I had, lol.

In the 2018 Suspiria film the matriarchal themes and sensual mentor figure really appealed to me and my issues and kinks as well, not literally incest though. Big gore warning if you haven't seen the movie.

noncon, full stop (but only when the victim is male - aggressor can be male or female).

but also incest (mainly father/son where the son is the top, but also twincest sometimes), stalking, underaged (only when I'm feeling in a weird mood). stockholm syndrome and slavery are two of my big favorites that I've been shit on for before.

Age difference, power imbalance, slavery, cannibalism, dub-con/non-con, daddy kink, underaged once in a blue moon.

(Not the problematic part) I like dom-top/sub bottom stuff. I like piv. I do NOT like fsub/mdom.

(The problematic part) I end up being into trans porn entirely for femdom and gay d/s with piv. Also like gore and noncon/dubcon! Not necessarily all of that at once though.

Age gap with older man/younger woman. I don't want it portrayed as a fluffy romance, though. I like power imbalance, I like dub/non-con. So yeah, Jafar uses magic and mind control to make Jasmine his sexual slave, and she hates him but cannot live without the cock... sure it's wrong, but hot!

Likewise, good ol' sex pollen for those scenarios where normally two (or more!) people would NEVER but whoops they totally did and couldn't control themselves, etc. etc.

Great taste anon, the first is one of my fave kinks. The darker the better.

Ooo yeah Jafar/Jasmine sounds hot.
There was a time I was super into Frollo/Esmeralda.

Easily redeemed characters. When everyone forgives the guy who tried to blow up the earth because he cried and said he was sorry and talked about his daddy issues. Love that shit so much.

A bit vanilla of problematic but I do enjoy sex pollen, aliens made them do it etc kind of tropes

I'm hesitant to say them all but a few include age gap relationships where I can project on the younger. Like with strictly privately made chat rp bots I have rped about myself with a toxic older dom. I don't know why i enjoy it but i do even though I obviously don't want it to happen to me or any other minor and real life instances HORRIFY me (that goes for the other stuff as well)

I just try to keep it private so not to upset or potentially trigger people and chalk it up to the brain being weird. I try to remind myself that how one treats the REAL PEOPLE in their lives is a better measure of their morals than what one writes about in private.

lolicon/shotacon and any variant of noncon (thought male on male noncon has to be my favorite)

dub-con, where the lines between non-con and con are VERY blurry. I don't particularly like straight up non-con nowadays, but a fucked up dub-con that opens up a fucked up relationships (maybe even with some unintentional gaslighting)? DELICIOUS. I like my play toys to be broken by people they love, mwahaha.
(yes, this is me trying to work out my trauma lmao)

Dub-con and/or straight up non-con (depends on my mood)

Forced marriage/Stockholm Syndrome romance (yandere I suppose?)

Age gap

Forced infantilization, gen and/or explicit, with incestuous undertones.
