I liked crossovers a lot when I was a kid because they weren't just two franchises meeting up together that made Little Kid Me squeal (I was all over that Power Rangers/TMNT crossover special, for example), they were rare, so it felt more special and epic.

Nowadays, I kind of audibly groan at crossovers because it feels like it's pre-attached to whatever Extended Universe/Cinematic Universe/Whateververse and it's EVERYWHERE and that specialness just doesn't feel, well, "special" anymore.
