I didn’t know anything about the movie when it dropped on D+ and tried to watch it. I had to nope out pretty early on because of the animal abuse which still gives me nightmares 2-3 years later.

That movie was just nonstop animal abuse. It was awful. I knew there would be some for plot reasons, but it was just Guardians of the Galaxy: Animal Abuse.

And no, I don't care that they were cg/imaginary, it was still upsetting to watch.

Guardians 3 is a fantastic film, and its existence is how I know people aren't being serious when they say Marvel hasn't released a good movie in years. That being said, you are right to think you will cry. I don't show emotions in public, and I cried in a theater full of people three times while watching this movie. I haven't rewatched Vol. 3 because I can't watch what was done to Rocket and his first family again. I just can't.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch this movie even though I loved the first 2 GOTG movies. I know it's cliche but animal stuff tends to get to me. I caught glimpses of gif-sets on tumblr and just knew I wouldn't be able to handle this movie.

(I saw the Wicked movie last month and got hit pretty hard particularly by the scenes of Chistery and the other Monkeys growing wings. So basically, I'm positive I still wouldn't be able to handle GOTG 3.)

Well after reading the comments above now I need someone to spoil it for me. What happens?

Basically, we meet other animals that were experimented on like Rocket was. They form a little group of love and support while they're being tortured and, in the end, all but Rocket die.

It made me bawl in the theater, it was so amazingly beautiful and then so gut-wrenchingly horrifying and sad.....

It fucked me up pretty bad. I knew how it was going to end but I still fell in love with the group and wished for them to have something better.

The ending was well earned. It was cathartic how it ended, for me.

But I get it if someone can't handle it to watch it because it really puts you through the wringer.
