I am loving this new trend of themed red carpet outfits. I know it's probably a pain for the actors having to dress a certain way in all their publicity appearances. And it's yet another example of increasingly expansive promotional campaigns. But I appreciate anything that makes red carpet fashion a bit more interesting. Actual variations on a theme, not just unexciting dresses in this season's colors and silhouettes. Now I just need them to do it for a fandom I'm actually excited about.

I like it a lot as well. Some of them are more fun or better executed than others. But I appreciate that the actors who are doing it are seeming to have fun with it, making it interesting.

I’m not sure I agree it’s about physical attraction. Deb is still amazingly gorgeous and hasn’t changed body shape much the last 15-20 years. She was on the edge of perimenopause when they married and already had middle aged woman body shape.
This really looks like just a case of falling out of love with someone and in love with someone else.
He’s still a shitheel for it tho.

I didn’t know anything about the movie when it dropped on D+ and tried to watch it. I had to nope out pretty early on because of the animal abuse which still gives me nightmares 2-3 years later.

SECRET: Watching the freaky, culty Catholic rituals and backstabbing drama in CONCLAVE made me want to drop by a cathedral and attend services.

When I first watched it, I found this scene shocking, upsetting...and also completely in character. Despite being a big Spike fan, a thing like this happening felt almost inevitable, given their issues.

But my fandom friends insisted it was bad writing: horribly OOC, a gratuitous shock, to be ignored. And I thought they must know better than I did.

Finally coming back to it as an adult, I'm back to my first take. I don't know if that's controversial these days. And I don't care anymore. But I am still a bit embarrassed at how easily I let myself by swayed by fandom consensus.

Both UK political parties are competing to see who can screw over older folks the most now. I said this was coming when Boomers started fading, and Gen X started ageing into that role. Millennials and Gen Z want to punish Boomers and take their money, but Boomers were too strong, so they just transferred that hostility to the one Gen that got shafted even worse than they did by those Boomers, Gen X. Gen X always gets fucked both ways, simply because we are not numerous enough, connected enough, or wealthy enough, to fight back.

Or motivated enough too, to be fair. We're fucked and we know it, c'est la vie.
