If I hadn't left Star Wars behind, stories about Darth Maul would be what I'd want and read. Vader, Palpatine, and then Maul are the only characters in the series that meant something to me. Savage was more worthwhile than I expected, too.

I find it rather absurd when hero fans complain about charismatic, resourceful villains "not staying dead," when their own favorite characters are functionally immortal.
