What is everyone doing this weekend?

It is about to get super cold here in OK so I'll be inside most days. I finished my first story of the year (Camp Damascus, highly recommend), so I'll be taking a break from reading. Will probably play a ton of Fortnite because Godzilla is out. Otherwise, trying to learn how make GIFs using Gimp.

Resting and relaxing. I've had a super stressful week and feeling a little down on myself. Just need to do some self care. Not sure what other than lots of kitty time. And finding something hopeful to watch.

But you don't have a kitty!

Just kidding lol...it made me think of that weirdo from the other day.

I hope your weekend treats you well!
If you're looking for something hopeful to watch, I would highly recommend My Happy Marriage on Netflix or Welcome to the Space Show (I think this is Amazon or Kanopy). My Happy Marriage starts out sad but ends on a happy note and follows a girl as she is betrothed against her will to a young man who turns out to only want the best for her. Welcome to the Space Show is just a fun romp about a bunch of kids who go to space during their summer break.

Going with Babylon 5 maybe or one of the Star Treks. But thanks.

Building Lego. My dad gave me the Titanic set when it first came out because he didn’t believe me that I didn’t want it. I’ve been picking away at it for three years and need to just hurry up and build it. I have this fear he’ll die before I finish and then I’ll forever feel guilty because he asks about it every time I see him. I usually enjoy building Lego but not such a giant set and especially not one with so many teeny tiny pieces :(

Man, that is a really big lego set! I hope you can get it done.

Tomorrow I'm helping my mom out with some stuff because my dad will be at a work conference he can't get out of. I'm not looking forward to venturing out into the cold but at least my parents live close by. Sunday I plan on staying home and relaxing because next week is going to be kind of busy.

Dang, I hope whatever stuff you need to do goes by quickly. I hate being out in the cold.

I'm gonna try to dig out from under a mountain of assignments. And catch up on laundry. Might do some browsing at Ross and Dollar General. I love digging through the mess of notebooks and planners at DG. Aiming to cook a big chicken casserole Sunday. Might splurge and make baked spaghetti, too. Crazy week ahead, so I'm gonna need leftovers.

Nope. I wish I did. Man, I love a good casserole, especially in cold weather. Thinking of making a tater tot one for the niblings.

I've got a 3 day weekend, and I'm going to my grandpa-in-law's farm tomorrow to help him out with some chores. After that, a bit of shopping and catching up on fandom activities - the week didn't give me a lot of free time, so I want to make the most of it.

Nice! What kind of activities are you doing in fandom?

Catching up on DW posts and challenges! I signed up for way too many in January because they were all interesting. Going forward I think I'll pace myself a bit better... I hope.

Errands tomorrow, since we're going into the deep freeze starting on Sunday, and staying there through much of the week. I'll be mostly indoors for that.

What errands are you doing?

Need to do some errands and try to get sleep (work annoyed me on a Friday evening enough that I didn't get much sleep). Maybe try to catch on some media (there is a new Severance episode, yay!)
Also as always planning to going to couple of galleries and another architecture tour :'D

I actually don't have any plans. I do have a couple of books that I should finish. Eyes of the Demon is a collection of Predator short stories that I'm halfway through. Then there is Monster Manifestet by Bo Eriksson about monsters in mythology and pop culture.

But I'll probably end up reading fanfic and watch edits instead as usual.

Ooooooh. That Predator books seems fun. How are you enjoying it?

I like it. There are mostly stories from the human POV, but some are from Predator POV too, and I love that.

Playing Wii bowling and archery.

Sounds fun. :D
